Since the situation around COVID-19 began to develop earlier this year, Norris Cylinder has put strong measures in place to help prevent the spread of the virus, protect the health of our employees, customers, suppliers and the communities in which we do business and ensure business continuity.
Norris Cylinder supplies cylinders that are essential to a number of designated critical sectors, including critical manufacturing, health care, defense, transportation and the government. Across these sectors, Norris products support, among other things, the construction and maintenance of healthcare facilities and public works, the storage and dispensing of oxygen for medical, aviation and defense purposes, fire suppression and food and beverage applications of CO2. These products include high pressure cylinders, acetylene cylinders, aluminum cylinders and other specialty cylinders.
State and local governments have begun issuing “stay at home” and similar orders that restrict both personal and business related activities. Many of these orders include exemptions for “essential” or “critical” businesses.
Based on the products we sell and the critical and urgent needs they address, we believe our business is essential during this pandemic and Norris has protocol in place to accelerate into production priority any COVID 19 related cylinder orders, including those used for medical oxygen or helium-oxygen applications.
For our customers, we remain focused on our business and protecting our supply of critical products. This means our manufacturing facilities will remain open and we are committed to continuing to supply our products which play a critical role in the fight to minimize the spread of the virus and help to serve the government, defense and medical industries and safety needs of our communities as we work through this international crisis.
For our suppliers, your companies remain a vital part of our business and your continued support and supply is necessary to ensure Norris’ critically important products remain in the market. To the extent a relevant governmental agency has taken action to close businesses in your area, please provide that agency with a copy of this letter to confirm the importance of your continued ability to supply products. Where appropriate and reasonable, and to the extent any of your critical suppliers are subject to an applicable government action, please reference this communication to support the continuity of your supply chain.
