American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Cylinder Certification
In January of 2019, Norris Cylinder Company achieved a facility certification by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to manufacture high-pressure compressed gas cylinders for offshore and marine industry applications. ABS’s stringent review of Norris Cylinder’s capabilities demonstrates that we successfully meet or exceed the established regulatory standards for cylinder manufacturing. With this certification of the Norris facility, we are approved for manufacturing high-pressure accumulator vessels and also pursuing additional cylinder type approvals as needed to support customer’s needs related to maritime uses of cylinders.
